Boogie Brain Festival 2010
Szczecin, Poland /
August 2010
Although the malicious (and sometimes some of the soaked and sympathetic ones) tend to change the name of the festival by omitting the second “B,” one can’t deny that Boogie Brain Festival (nominated, for its 2010 edition, for the European Festival Award for the Best Small European Festival) permanently appeared on the party map of Poland.
The Freedomes F75 spherical tent, as usual, fit perfectly with the festival landscape of the event which this time took place at Łasztownia at the Old Town Wharf. Backed by the words of the festival director Bartosz Sawicki, Łasztownia “imposes with its uniqueness a kind of art that is supposed to be presented there – it’s not a place for pop stars (…) its scenery itself is an additional advantage which emphasizes and highlights artistic activities.” Artistic qualities of the place were one of the reasons why Freedomes offered their innovative structures for the needs of the festival. The F75 spherical tent ideally fit into the inventive and modern character of the festival which focuses a great deal on artistic qualities rather than the commercial nature of event organising.
Three days, lots of artists from Poland and around the world, a journey through the whole spectrum of music genres, festival cinema and thousands of people having fun. Boogie Brain Festival 2010 was definitely a tasty morsel for everyone who wouldn’t dissolve in the rain.
