BTC Rimini Fiera
Rimini, Italy /
June 2011
The statement “Quello che una tenda bella!” has been uttered by the visitors in our dome tent during the BTC ‘11 fair in Italian Rimini so often that we were long convinced that it’s the way to say “hello.” Judging by the faces of other exhibitors, who heard the statement rather sporadically, it was easy to realise that our assumption was wrong.
BTC Rimini is the biggest event trade fair in Italy. Two days and several thousand visitors who passed through a truly impressive 100.000 metres, which the Rimini Fiera has at its disposal. Especially considering a sunny Italian beach as an alternative to the fair, all this made a real impact. Not as big an impact, however, as the Freedomes F75 dome tent, set up right at the entrance to the conference centre.
Each of the fair’s participants (be it an exhibitor or a visitor) entering the premises had to pass by our geodome. Encouraged by the sight of our innovative structure, they decided to take a look inside and thus made our dome tent barely ever empty.
Although Italian is unfortunately another language on our long list of languages yet to be mastered, the universal language of gestures and admiration on people’s faces was more than enough of a review of our visit at the fair.
