International Coastal Symposium - ICS 2011
Szczecin, Poland /
May 2011
In connection with the 11th International Coastal Symposium taking place in Szczecin, the most important scientific event attracting the biggest world-famous authorities in the field of coastal zone issues, a Freedomes F700 spherical tent was set up in the centre of Szczecin.
Coastal issues in a broader sense were also close to Freedomes because, due to the grand scale of the enterprise, one of the edges of the structure (the conference tent we used had 706 m2 of floor area) slightly stuck outside the area provided for it. However, thanks to our assembly experts’ experience and innovative approach, the problem was dealt with in a blink of an eye. Despite the willingness to share the expertise in coastal problem prevention, they modestly refused to take part in the symposium.
The remaining 450 guests invited didn’t have such dilemmas and through their speeches they caused the fourth edition taking place in a European country to end in success.
The aforementioned Freedome F700 spherical tent turned out to be a perfect conference tent where plenary sessions took place, especially considering the fact that it was absolutely the only place capable of simultaneously fitting all the scientists, journalists and officials taking part in the conference.
Considering the experience gained during the symposium, Freedomes willingly agrees that the 11th International Coastal Symposium was highly educating.
