WOSP 2011
Szczecin, Poland /
January 2011
The Great Finals of The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy) have a permanent place not only in the calendar, but also in the hearts of those who support the idea of buying medical equipment and improving hospital conditions, especially for the youngest. Having in mind the sum raised during the 19th Great Final (we’re talking about an impressive sum of 47.248.415,05 PLN), the number of such people in Poland and all over the world is constantly growing.
Freedomes is a proud member of the group and, apart from donations coming from all of our employees’ wallets, for the purpose of the associated events in Szczecin it delivered the Freedome F75 spherical tent. The event, apart from the most important part which is raising money, was also accompanied by concerts, various performances (fire, dance and sport skills) and “A light to the heavens” which has become an integral part of the event.
The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is the strongest argument that can be used against all cynics claiming that there is no place for kindliness and altruism in Poland. However, keeping faith in our society is just one of the many benefits coming from supporting the foundation’s noble ideas.
It only remains for us to wish that in the future we could use our structures (preferably the biggest ones) not as tents but as piggy banks having to hold all the incoming money, and that The Orchestra would play “till the end of the world and one day more.”
