Keyhole Sensory Garden
Kilkenny, Ireland /
August 2009
As part of the Keyhole Sensory Garden project, which came into being at the School of the Holy Spirit in the Irish town of Kilkenny, we were asked to create a structure where the classes for students and guests would be held. Aware of the magical concept of Sensory Garden, we’d decided to use a Freedomes spherical structure.
The 30 m2 spherical structure suggested by Freedomes hit the bull’s-eye. The spherical form perfectly integrated into the world of fun and fantasy created around the school.
The structure will permanently serve the students as a place of fun and learning. The area of the Freedome 30 will provide an all-year-round place for fun, games and development for a group of up to 50 children. The Sensory Garden Project has recently been put into use. It was enthusiastically received by the youngest, for whom we’ve decided to take part in the Keyhole Sensory Garden project.
