Carlsberg FanCamp
Kostrzyn, Poland /
August 2011
Carlsberg FanCamp Zone at the Woodstock Festival was situated in a complex of Freedomes dome tents.
In 2011 Carlsberg became the official sponsor of the Woodstock Festival and to celebrate that occasion, for the first time in the long history of the festival, the Carlsberg FanCamp Zone became a part of the whole experience.
Thanks to the brand being present on the festival, and with the upcoming EURO 2012 in Poland in sight, the festival was also hosting a number of football related events for over a million of festival-goers that showed up in Kostrzyn this year. Three event domes, two of them connected with a walkway tunnel, offered some insight into the way football and Carlsberg intertwined throughout the years. An additional dome was actually set up on a special beach in the middle of the festival ground, allowing everybody to forget for a moment that Poland is located quite far from the equator.
However, the biggest attraction was the UEFA EURO™ Trophy showcased in an event dome prepared especially for that occasion. This was the first time that the actual trophy was brought to Poland and a unique chance for all the football fans present at the festival to see up close what dreams are made of.
Unfortunately the famous trophy was not the prize at the Football Tournament taking place right outside the domes, it definitely encouraged all the participants to give their absolute best during every single match.
This was definitely a great way to give everybody a taste of how the UEFA EURO 2012™ is going to feel like.
