Magam Trophy Rally
Miastko, Poland /
June 2011
The 11th edition of Magam Trophy rally took place between 28.05.2011 and 1.06.2011 in the lovely vicinity of Miastko in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. People and cars… One of the best off-road cars’ rallies.
For the first time in the history of the rally quads have appeared. Four categories were introduced: general, extreme, adventure, and quad.
As usual, the MAGAM SPORT organiser Wojciech Gołębiowski saw to surprise the competitors both on the track and during the whole event. One of the new ideas was to make the Freedomes F75 and F110 spherical tents available along with the floor. Our contemporary structures stood out through their innovative character and the shape provided by the geodesic dome. Two Freedomes spherical structures were set up by the main stage. The use of transparent fronts in both tents let the daylight inside. The competition was watched by crowds of people, for whom the organisers prepared additional attractions: a funfair, large screens in the tents and, in the evening, a Varius Manx concert took place on the roofed stage.
Magam Trophy is different every year, but every year it attracts the best. The finalists of the rally:
1. Marcin Łukaszewski and Magdalena Duhanik
2. Zbigniew Peczyński and Łukasz Chołuj
3. Maciej Manejkowski and Jakub Jęch
„I think the rally was really good!” says Marcin Łukaszewski. “I’d like there to be more such rallies. In comparison to last year’s edition, which was also successful for us, it was equally difficult if not more. Every year it’s getting harder. If there’s water – it gets deeper. If there are hills – they get higher. And Miastko’s surroundings give the organiser a lot of possibilities.”
