Supernatural Festival
Belgrade, Serbia /
April 2012
Freedomes go "green" again, this time as part of the line-up for the Supernatural Festival in Belgrade.
Mother Earth, not unlike most mothers we know, has always shown a remarkable amount of patience when it comes to the behavior of her children (meaning mankind as a whole). That is why every single initiative that tries to give something back and in turn improve our image in her eyes is definitely something worth getting involved in.
The Serbian Supernatural Festival is one of those initiatives and apart from the obvious entertainment value of every kind of festival it puts a lot of emphasis on spreading the ecological word and ideas among the young and the old. The Festival itself is supported by many famous eco-organizations such as: United Nations Global Compact, Slow Food, WWF, Friends of the Earth, DC Environmental Network or the Europarc federation, which obviously shows that there is not a single shade of green that would not fit into the ideological scope of the Festival.
Freedomes provided the Freedome 110 event dome, which became a permanent resident at the Ada Huja island in Belgrade, where it is going to be a permanent resident of the newly opened Eco-Park. It will be a venue for all the different eco classes and workshops for youngsters organized by the organizations behind the festival. This way it gives a spark of hope that all the upcoming generations are going to take care of our planet a little bit better than all the generations so far.
