PTO at the London World Travel Market
London, UK /
October 2011
Between the 7th and 10th of November 2011, the international trade show for the tourist industry - The World Travel Market - took place in London. The WTM is the second biggest tourist industry trade show (right behind the ITB in Berlin) and pretty much all the biggest names in the tourist industry try to showcase their work there.
The exhibition stand of the Polish Sports and Tourism Ministry was there to promote the upcoming EURO 2012 in Poland and was organized inside the Freedome 110 event dome.
The stand was arranged in a manner that brought football stadiums to mind - fitted with astroturf and many other football related items - was definitely drawing a lot of attention and being recognized for that it received an award from the trade show organizers. The stand's hosts - Bartlomiej Walas (the vice-chairman of the Polish Tourist Organization and Bogdan Becia (the manager of the POT branch in London)
were trying to showcase and present everything that Poland has to offer and answered all the questions related to the preparations for the EURO 2012 for the arrival of the national teams and their supporters.
The London trade show was also visited by the Polish sport ambassador - the goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek (the name definitely rings a bell amongst the visitors, especially those from Liverpool) - who met with the media and tour operators from around the world - obviously inside the Freedome event dome.
